Polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) offer the resurfacing benefits of an AHA with a larger molecule size, meaning gentler exfoliation that's better suited to sensitive skin.

Because PHAs penetrate skin more slowly, they smooth and brighten with less risk of stinging or redness, and they also help skin hold on to moisture.
